Chopin Meaning of "Fantasy Polonaise"

What does Chopin's "Polonaise-Fantaisie" mean? There was a precious performance scene of Horowitz. I know how to play. However, I felt that the condition of the piano on that day was a little bad.

www.youtube.com"Polonaise" is a dance song of Chopin's homeland Poland. However, although it is a musical base, Chopin's song itself is Chopin.

This fantasy Polonaise is number 7, and when an ordinary person hears it, it is a song that is "difficult, what does it mean? I don't know." Even the scenes along the way may feel boring.

But if you read my interpretation of this song, you'll understand that it's a "very nice song."

When I listen to music, the "image" of the song flows through my head.

■ Interpretation of this song

This song starts when Chopin is facing the piano alone in the dark room of the building. At the first opening, "Jarangjan," thunder is roaring in the dark dark nights. The door at the back of the room closes with a "ghee". It's like a haunted house.

And Chopin begins to walk the path of death. The scenes of memories that have lived so far flow like a magic lantern. The base "Tatta Carter" is exactly the "Dance of Death" and "Danse Macabre".

The ups and downs of his life, his romance, his last mistress, George Sand and others ... Then Chopin floats over the city of Paris. The streets of Paris below him, the meadows and ranches, the rich land ... and he's back in his room again.

But he came to pick us up in heaven. That is the sound that is consistently struck like a bell in this song called "Shiso". It's like the "gone, gone" sound that the clock tells you when it's time.

The sound of knocking on the door of fate. Is it a Beethoven homage?

After that, a trembling cold melody flows, and after a whirling melody

Chopin takes a breath. But it was "release of power".

From the darkness Chopin is now in a whirlpool of light.

The physical Chopin dies and his soul escapes from his body.

The soul emerges in the air, and Chopin sleeps on his back, steadily rising out of the room and mansion and "turning" on his back over the city of Paris.

His body becomes lighter, like a spiral in the high sky like an angel's wings ... And at the last sound Chopin returns from his body to the soul of consciousness and is called to heaven and disappears as "light" ... … That is the last “one note”.

Chopin preferred a flat scale. Like Schubert, the flat sound is as high as the "human voice." In other words, when expressing the voice that a person speaks, this scale is very comfortable and calm to the person.

The best reproduction of Chopin's fantasy Polonaise-Fantaisie is probably Vladimir Horowitz's performance at Carnegie Hall in New York.

It is included in this CD.

It's strange that the strings of the piano are strummed just like Japanese dance, and even in distant France, you can hear them in common with the spirited sounds of Japan.

I want everyone to play this song, take a breath at the last note, and live a life of becoming a Buddhahood and dying.
